quick hit cardio notes...

triad of right heart infarction
1. increased CVP
2. clear lungs
3. hypotension
don't give nitro, dont give bb if brady
1. fluids
2. dobutamine

Diabetic w/triple vessel diesase + cabg
50% stenosis in left main is enough for intervention

enhanced external counterpulsation- variable tourniquets in lower extremities that rapidly inflate during diastole helps coronaries perfuse and reduces angina

loud S1? could be mitral stenosis

evolution of mitral stenosis:
pulmonary edema w/mitral stenosis in 20's
develop pulmonary htn
develop fatigue and decreased CO

cardiomyopathy? think increased risk of embolic phenomenon
